Hourly atmospheric pressure in Troitsk for
last 27 days. Updated every hour.
The pressure is measured at the Moscow cosmic ray station (IZMIRAN, Troitsk).
This is not so far from Moscow (about 20 km to south-west),
so the presented data should be interesting for moskovites as well.
The measurements are performed every minute but only hourly average values are shown in the plot.
The data are presented in millibars (mb) and millimeters of Hg column (mm Hg), 1000 mb = 750 mm Hg.
The station situates 200 m above the sea level.
A dark line in the figure corresponds to the average pressure value over last 32 years ( 991 mb or 743 mm Hg).
The maximum pressure 1035.6 mb (776.7 mm Hg) was observed at our station on January 31, 1972.
The minimum pressure 942.6 mb (706.9 mm Hg) was on February 5, 1999.
Pressure variations are arbitrary (90 %) within limits of 974 - 1009 mb.
These limits are shown by yellow lines in the figure.
The pressure above 1009 mb and below 974 mb should be considered as anomalously high or low respectively.
The red color marks periods of anomalously quick variations, when pressure changes by 0.8 mb per hour or more.
These periods correspond to not more than 10% of the whole time.
Keeping in mind these facts You may better treat atmospheric pressure variations observed, and let these variations will never effect on Your health.
